Good evening, Macaroni!
Well, I am happy to say that the last of Christmas was packed away this week (yes, the stockings were still hanging from the mantle in mid-January. So?). My littlest boy is almost 2, and in the toddler's eyes, Santa, Christmas trees, Christmas lights, and decorations had been a part of daily life, well, forever! Of course he doesn't understand why we put all the fun stuff away just because it's January! As I was packing up his favorite, the ceramic Christmas tree with the moving train, Santa, and sleigh, I was met with cries of "tee tee, tee tee!" (toddler for "Christmas tree"). After a few tears and futile explanations of "tee tee will come back next year," all was well and my house is (a little) less cluttered!
