I have 4 kids, and our house is often very busy and chaotic, so I like to find time to spend with each of my kids one on one to connect with them. A few weeks ago as I was entering events on the Macaroni Kid calendar, I came across a Llama Mug Class at All Fired Up! Medina that I knew would be perfect for my 10 year old daughter so I called and signed us up (most of their classes require advance registration).

We love visiting the Medina square, so we arrived a little early and walked around, enjoying the warm evening. We stopped in Honeybee Bakery for a snack (and coffee for me!) before we headed to All Fired Up! to do our painting.

All Fired Up! is a quaint little shop that you can tell is owned by an artist! It is cozy and homey as well as eclectic and fun. Think creaky floorboards, bright colors, and lots of painted pottery all around!

We were seated at a table toward the back where the employees showed us the process for transferring a llama picture onto our mugs. Once the drawing was in place, we got to browse through the shop for the colors we wanted to use. There was glitter paint, paint with specks of different colors in it and every color you could imagine. My daughter and I chatted during the ~45 minutes it took us to paint our mugs. The staff was very helpful with all of our questions and made the process easy (especially for someone like me, who is not so artistically inclined). We had a great time!

When we were done painting, we turned in our mugs to be fired. After a week's time we stopped back in to pick them up. We love our mugs! Thank you, All Fired Up! Medina, for the family keepsakes and the great memory!

You can visit All Fired Up! Medina on Facebook or check the Macaroni Kid calendar to see their class schedule. Or, just stop in and choose a piece to paint!
