Decluttering this New Year? Here's where to donate your unwanted items

A new year is full of fresh starts - for many of us that means decluttering and organizing our homes, especially after the influx of new "stuff" from the holidays. Rather than throwing away yours and your kids' old things and filling the landfills, you can donate your gently used items for others to use. Here are some places that are accepting donations of clothing, toys, household items, and more:

The Oaks Family Care Center - accepts diapers, formula, baby food, baby clothes, toys, cribs, and new car seats

The Salvation Army - accepts clothing, furniture, toys, and household goods

Volunteers of America - accepts clothing, furniture, toys, and household goods

Birthcare of Medina County - accepts formula, children's clothing, diapers, pull ups, towels, washcloths, children's books, and baby food

Goodwill: accepts clothing, furniture, toys, and household goods

Marions Closet - accepts clothing, toiletries, and household items to provide free for people in need 

Habitat for Humanity - accepts furniture, toys, household goods, and more - HFH offers free large item pickup in Medina county

Life's Treasures Hospice Thrift Store - accepts clothing, furniture, toys, and household goods - offers free furniture pickup in Medina county

Oasis of Hope - accepts baby items - call 330-723-3600 for details about what they do and do not accept.
