A Note From Your Publisher: May 27, 2021

May 27, 2021

Hi there Macaroni Kid readers,

End of school activities are in full swing for those of us with school-age kids. Things are still looking a little different due to COVID, but we are all doing our best to adjust and still celebrate our kids having finished another year of school, no matter how unusual of a year it may have been. And all we can do is hope that next year is back to normal! I don't know about you, but I really miss being able to just go in to my kids' schools. Just for simple things, like to drop off a forgotten lunch or walking your child in to the office if they are late. Our schools are such an important part of our kids' lives and it's hard to not be able to share that part with them. But yes, let's hope next year is different!

This week we are sharing our VBS guide and our Summer Reading guide. With the end of school comes summer break and the challenge of keeping them occupied with something other than XBox and Ipads. Many local churches are back to hosting in-person VBS and some still have a virtual option. MCDL and Wadsworth libraries both have summer reading games and there are some national summer reading programs you can check out also. Our guides page is full of local fun ideas to keep your family going all summer long.

Have a great week!

Erica
